Helga Sims
January 3, 1940 – June 28, 2026
Helga Augusta Sims, age 86, of Arnold, Missouri, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2026.
Born on January 3, 1940, in Germany, Helga made the courageous journey to the United States in her twenties. It was here that she built a beautiful life centered around family, hard work, and love. She was a dedicated employee and retired from Killark Electrical Manufacturing after many years of faithful service.
To those who knew her, Helga will be remembered for her incredible strength, gentle heart, and an endless kindness that made everyone around her feel loved. She adored spending time with her dog, Josie, getting lost in a good mystery book, and gathering around the table for a lively game of poker. Above all, Helga’s greatest joy was her family, and she leaves behind a large, loving legacy.
Helga shared 55 years of marriage, a lifetime of memories, and an unwavering commitment with her devoted husband, Ronald Sims. Along with her husband, her legacy lives on through her children, Frank, Bruce, Mike, Larry, and Nicole; her 13 cherished grandchildren: Alexandra, Bryan, Christopher, Eric, Tim, Tina, Josh, Jake, James, Luke, Lydia, Courtney, and Caitlyn; as well as 18 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense joy.
She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Linda Williams, and her sister, Rose Backlin, with whom she shared many lifelong adventures.
Helga will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. A private family gathering will be held at a future date to celebrate Helga’s beautiful life.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Helga’s honor to the American Lung Association.
