Arlene Anne Weise

July 27th, 1939 – July 2nd, 2026

Arlene Anne Weise passed away peacefully on July 2, 2026, in Ballwin, Missouri, at the age of 86.

Born on July 27, 1939, in Paterson, New Jersey, Arlene was one of four daughters born to Dr. William and Julia (Gronek) Ruocco. She completed her undergraduate studies at Mount Saint Scholastica in Atchison, Kansas, and later earned a master’s degree in education from Washington University in St. Louis.

Arlene dedicated 28 years to teaching middle school history and English in the Parkway School District. A passionate and devoted educator, she poured her heart into her students and took great pride in the profession she loved. Her patience, encouragement, and love of learning left a lasting impact on countless young lives.

Outside the classroom, Arlene embraced life with enthusiasm. She enjoyed spending time with animals, playing golf, and enthusiastically cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs. She also treasured the many lifelong friendships she cultivated over the years. Whether sharing lunch with friends or simply enjoying one another’s company, Arlene valued those relationships deeply. Her warmth, sense of humor, and genuine interest in others made her a loyal and cherished friend to many.

Above all, Arlene cherished her family and treasured every moment spent together. She was a loving mother, grandmother—affectionately known as “Gammy”—and great-grandmother. Her kindness, generosity, wisdom, and unwavering support touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She found her greatest joy in watching her family grow and creating lasting memories with those she loved.

Arlene is survived by her sons, Douglas Weise (Becky) of Rancho Mirage, California; Stephen Weise (Teri) of Columbia, Missouri; and Michael Weise (Andrea) of Wildwood, Missouri; her grandchildren, Mallory Weise (James Boeckmann), Bret Weise (Sammy), Alaina Weise, and Catelyn Weise; her great-grandsons, Colton Weise and Hayes Weise; her sisters, Juliet Tuttle and Melinda (Myron) Sokolsky; former spouse, Donald Weise; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Joan (Wilson) DeCrocker; and her brothers-in-law, Leon Wilson, and David Tuttle.
