Marie A. Hegger (nee Bohn) passed away peacefully on July 5, 2026 at the age of 100 years and 363 days.

She married Eugene Hegger on November 22, 1947. That marriage was blessed with their three children; Tom, Gary, and Jeanne Marie. Eugene passed away in 2010, after 62 years of marriage.

Marie was a bank teller in Jennings MO for over 20 years.

She is survived by her children Tom Hegger (Barb), Gary Hegger (the late Gina), and Jeanne Baer (John); her beloved grandchildren Brian Hegger (Kayla), Eric Hegger (Briannah), Lindsey Honeycutt, Shannon (Joe Porto), Justin Hegger, and Bret Baer; great grandchildren Mila, Madden Marie, and Kiley; great-great grandchildren Lai’lani and Amiri; sister Celeste Keady, brother Edward Bohn; as well as her best friend of 75 years Marion Ottersbach.

Marie enjoyed knitting, Hallmark movies, a good book, travelling and baking desserts. She mostly enjoyed time with her family. She had many Marie-isms but her most famous was “Love you more!”

She is preceded in death by her husband Eugene, her brothers Harry and Jerry Bohn, and sister Ginny Muskopf.

Her family is grateful for the wonderful care she received at Delmar Gardens North and the beautiful care she received in her final three weeks from the outstanding staff of Pathways Hospice Care.

A funeral mass will be held at 11 am, on Friday, September 18, 2026 at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Church in Ferguson MO. Visitation will be held at 10 am, on Friday, September 18, 2026 at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Church in Ferguson MO. Private Burial will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
