
Rosalind Rush Dees

Dr. Rosalind Rush Dees of House Springs, MO, beloved wife, sister, stepmother, aunt, grandmother and friend, passed away on February 17, 2026 at the age of seventy-eight. Rosalind will be remembered for her love of family, her intellect, her incredible sense of humor, her pride in her work in the medical field, and most of all, her profound love for her husband and her many Brittany Spaniels.
Rosalind graduated from Hereford High School in Hereford, TX in 1965. A few years later she received a B.A. in Theater Arts from Texas Christian University. She then decided to follow in her father’s footsteps and earned a medical degree in Guadalajara, Mexico. Her medical contributions positively impacted the St. Louis and Joplin, MO areas.
Dr. Rosalind Rush Dees is survived by her husband of thirty-six years, Joseph Dees of House Springs, MO; her sister Shelley(Larry) Burelsmith of Round Rock, TX; her brother Santry (Paula) Rush of Green Valley, AZ; her brothers-in-law Tom, Rick, Bill, Bob, Dennis and Bud all of MO; step-son Thomas (Angel) Dees of Shelbyville, TN and step-daughter Tammy (Barney) Smith of Murfreesboro, TN; 3 grandsons; 3 granddaughters; 4 great-grandsons; 2 great-granddaughters; 15 nieces and 15 nephews; many great-nieces and great-nephews; and a multitude of friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents Dr. C. E. Rush and Doris T. Rush, mother-in-law Alida Mattingly, sister Lani (Elmer), brother Dana (Trudy), nephews Eric (Debra) and Gavin, and brothers-in-law Jim, Charlie and Dave.
