LINDA L. ROSE (nee Leavy), Sunday, June 21, 2026, beloved wife, mother, grandmother,
sister, aunt, and dear friend, passed away at the age of 84. She was the devoted wife and best
friend of William “Bill” H. Rose (2005); cherished mother of Robert “Rob” Rose and Lynn
Zuber (nee Rose (Thomas)); and adored grandmother, known as “Lindy”, of Alexandra “Lexi”
Zuber, Robert Rose, and William “Will” Rose. She was a beloved sister to Robert “Bobby”
Leigh, a treasured sister-in-law to Mary D. White, and a dear aunt, cousin, and friend to so many.
She resided in Clayton, Missouri.

Linda was born in Washington, D.C., to Florence and Robert Leavy and grew up in University
City, Missouri. She attended University City High School, where she was the lead majorette.
During her brief time at the University of Missouri – Columbia, she met the love of her life, Bill
Rose. They married and started life in a Clayton apartment and moved to a home in Ladue,
where they raised their family.

Linda was devoted to her family. As a stay-at-home mother she raised Rob and Lynn, creating a
warm and loving home and was a constant presence throughout their lives. She cherished her
role as their mother and found great joy in being available to her children. Even while her
children were toddlers, Linda was an active community volunteer committed to improving St.
Louis.

She served for many decades as a board member, and later Chair, of the St. Louis Society for the
Blind and Visually Impaired. She was also President and a Board Member of the Saint Louis
Zoo’s Zoo Docents program and served as President and Board Member of the Friends of the
Saint Louis Municipal School of Nursing.

Her love of St. Louis led to her role in bringing national sporting events to the area. She served
as Co-Chair of the Saint Louis Sports Commission’s 1995 U.S. Olympic Festival Host
Committee, and as Co-Chair of the Sports Commission’s 1996 National Short Track Speed
Skating Championships Host Committee.

She later spent 14 years as a Special Assistant in Ticket Operations for the St. Louis Rams. She
took great pride in her work, joining the close-knit NFL community. Her years with the Rams
brought her many wonderful memories, experiences, and treasured friendships.

In retirement, Linda grew her love of travel through adventures with her beloved sister-in-law
and dear friend, Mary White. Together, they traveled the world, visiting amazing and far-flung
destinations including Victoria Falls in Africa, Antarctica, Easter Island, and the Arctic Circle in
Canada. They shared countless laughs and indelible memories throughout their global
adventures.

In her free time, Linda enjoyed painting and sewing, and she was a lifelong and active member
of Grace United Methodist Church in St. Louis.

She will be remembered for the life she built with her family, the countless people she helped
through her years of service, and the love and friendship she gave so freely. She leaves behind a
lifetime of memories and many people who were fortunate enough to know and love her.
