
Teri Lynn Rose
Teri Lynn Rose passed away peacefully at 10:42AM on August 22nd, 2026 at the age of 68. She was born in St. Louis, MO on January 12th, 1958.
She is predeceased by her parents Ed and Mary Rose; sister Judy Bible; brother Jim Matthes; nephew Michael Matthes, and niece Jennifer Chartrand.
Teri is lovingly remembered by her sisters Sharon Niethe, Debbie Rose and Yolanda Rose; by eleven nieces, four nephews, twelve great-nieces and nephews, twelve great-great nieces and nephews; as well as by beloved neighbors and friends: Michael Braxton, Larry Conner and Donna Sitze.
Teri started her career as a secretary the Army Audit Agency. She took the opportunity to earn her bachelor’s degree and became an auditor/investigator; working for multiple federal agencies.
She worked tirelessly as a church and College Hill neighborhood volunteer. She was treasurer and organist for St. Paul’s Lutheran Church for more than twenty years; continuing a family tradition of more than 160 years of service.
Teri was instrumental in organizing neighborhood associations and supported the College Hill foundation. She was a devoted community leader.
Teri had many hobbies including piano, sewing, and reading. She loved Christmas and gave ornaments to her 36 nieces and nephews. Most of them now decorate their trees with only Aunt Teri’s ornaments. She enjoyed activities such as rescuing dogs, caring for feral cats and volunteering at Carol House Quick Fix.
