Sylvia Perez Cavazos, age 79, of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Sylvia was born on April 22, 1947, in Iraan, Texas, to Trinidad C. Perez and Susana Sanchez Perez. Raised in San Angelo, Texas, she graduated from Central High School with the Class of 1966. Later that year, on November 29, 1966, she married Robert Cavazos in Fort Worth, Texas.

Defined by her devotion to family, determination, generosity, and boundless love, Sylvia leaves behind a rich legacy carried forward by those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Trinidad C. Perez and Susana Sanchez Perez, and her brother, Richard Perez.

Sylvia is survived by her devoted children, Robert Cavazos Jr. (wife Crystal), Christina Cavazos Bennett (husband Vincent), and Julia Cavazos; her cherished sister, Yvonne Perez, who stayed faithfully by her side until the end; her five beloved grandchildren, Robert Cavazos III, Jasmine Cavazos, Talia Bennett, Isaiah Cavazos, and Julian Bennett; and her four great-grandchildren, Robert Isaac Cavazos IV, Gabriel Cavazos, Arés Cavazos, and Aaliyah Jade Quintanar.

She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
