James M. Maher, 90, died May 17, 2012, at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center.

Mr. Maher was a World War II veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael Patrick and Catherine Marie (nee Cronin) Maher.

He is survived by his wife Audrey June (nee McCrory) Maher; three children, Janice (Dave) Frasier of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; David (Ann) Maher of O’Fallon, Illinois and Linda (Jim) Arledge of Gonzales, Texas; five grandchildren, Daniel Maher; Patrick and Robert Frasier and Jessica and Chase Arledge.

Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. on Monday at the Old Cathedral in St. Louis, followed by interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Old Cathedral or Sisters of Mercy Missionary Programs.
