Joyce Rich
Joyce Rich, age 83, of Fenton, Missouri, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2026. She was born on July 3, 1943.
Joyce was a devoted mother, aunt, and dear friend to many within her congregation and surrounding community. Her warmth, generosity, and loving nature touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Gilbert Hagewood; her sister, Jean King; and her former husband and friend, John Rich.
Joyce is survived by her children, Kathleen Mathis, John D. Rich, and Lorie Welnick (husband Bill Welnick), along with many extended family members and close friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, beginning at 2:00 PM at 6120 Highway 30, Cedar Hill, MO.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Joyce’s memory to the American Diabetes Association or the Humane Society of Missouri.
I would also add that as your son my mom was a devoted member of our congregation as one of Jehovah’s witnesses for which she served for over 50 years.
I am so sorry for your loss. You have been a wonderful daughter to her, Lorie . . My condolences to your family. Take care . I am sorry that I never got to meet her.
