Harry J. Belli
Harry J. Belli, age 85, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2026, just two days after celebrating his 85th birthday.
Harry was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on September 22, 1941. A dedicated entrepreneur with a passion for hospitality, Harry was a well-known self-employed restaurateur. Over his long career, he successfully owned and operated several popular restaurants throughout the St. Louis area and Fairview Heights, Illinois, bringing people together over good food and warm conversations.
He was the beloved husband of Janine (nee Favignano), whom he married on November 25, 1976. Together, they shared a beautiful life filled with deep devotion and nearly 50 years of cherished memories.
Outside of his work, Harry was an avid fisherman who found great peace on the water, and he always enjoyed the camaraderie and competition of playing handball. He truly loved to tell jokes and always found a way to make people laugh. Above all, Harry was a remarkably loyal and good friend to many, known for his warm presence and generous spirit.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents, Harry J. Belli, Sr. and Margaret Leona Belli (nee Klevorn), and his brother, William Belli.
He is survived by his loving wife, Janine; his sister, Mary Werner; and his brother, Kevin Belli. He was also a beloved brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and a cherished member of a large extended family. He will be deeply missed by his family, lifelong friends, loyal patrons, and all who had the privilege of sharing in his journey.
A Memorial Mass Will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, located in Maryland Heights, Missouri, on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.
