Francis Albright
Francis “Fran” M. Albright, 84, went to be with Jesus on November 3, 2026, passing away peacefully surrounded by her loving family.
Born on September 16, 1942, Fran was a lifelong resident of St. Louis. She grew up in the area, attended Webster Groves High School, and continued her education at Webster University and Washington University. She built a meaningful career as a licensed clinical social worker and therapist—a profession that allowed her to do what she loved most: helping others. Throughout her career, she touched countless lives with her compassion, kindness, and genuine desire to make a difference.
Above all, Fran treasured her family. Some of her greatest joys came from spending time with her children, watching her grandchildren grow, and making memories with her precious great-grandchildren. She had a special place in her heart for her dogs, both those who had gone before her and her faithful companion, Benji. Fran found happiness in gardening, had a lifelong love for Elvis, and brought fun and laughter wherever she went. You could often find her out on the dance floor enjoying the music, sharing a good joke, or engaging in lively conversation. Her warmth, humor, and joyful spirit will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
Fran is survived by her loving family:
Son’s Family: Daughter-in-law, Mary Albright; grandson, Josh Albright and his wife, Natalie; granddaughter, Jordan Sanders, her husband, Cole, and their daughter, Penelope.
Son: Dan Dixon; grandson, Danny Dixon, his wife, Alison, and their daughter, Ava.
Daughter: Deborah Hytonen; grandson, Jarmo Hytonen, his wife, Tammy, and their son, August.
Extended Family: Dear nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Fran was preceded in death by her beloved son, Rick Albright; cherished daughter-in-law, Barb Dixon; precious great-granddaughter, Lainey Mae Albright; and her adored parents and siblings.
The family finds comfort in knowing that Fran is now at peace in the loving arms of Jesus, reunited with loved ones who passed before her. While her absence will be deeply felt, the love she shared and the memories she created will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
In keeping with the family’s wishes, services will be private and limited to immediate family. The family is deeply grateful for the love, prayers, and support of friends and extended family during this time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Fran’s honor to the American Heart Association.
