Eugene E. Woody passed peacefully into his eternal rest on Tuesday, August 7, 2012. Gene lived to the wonderful age of 89.

Devoted husband of 37 years to the late Eva M. Woody (nee Molitor), loving father of Mary Jean and Joseph; dear grandfather of Emily and Maggie Page, Angelica Woody, and father-in-law of Sue Woody; loving brother-in-law, uncle and friend.

Gene was proud to be a member of the Machinists Local 837B, and a member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers for over 70 years. He began his career as a tool and die maker for Curtiss Wright, and after a long career with McDonnell Douglas, retired from there in 1989. He truly loved his job. Gene liked spending time woodcarving. He was a member of the St. Peters Mo. Woodworking Guild, enjoyed spending time with his family and took great pleasure in just sitting outside watching the world go by.

Services: Saturday, August 25: Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Theresa of Calcutta Catholic Church(formerly Good Shepherd Catholic Church), 1050 Smith Ave, Ferguson MO., with a Celebration Mass of Gene’s life beginning at 11:00 a.m. Private interment will follow Mass.

Memorials appreciated to St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
