Richard G.Sisson, MD died on 4/19/2013 at age 90. Born in Boston,MA, he served in the army during World War II. He came to St.Louis for a general surgery residency at Jewish hospital. He met Mitzi Sisson on a blind date and they went on to have 62 years of wonderful married life together.

He is survived by his wife Mitzi and their 4 children: Michael (Josina) Sisson, John (Betsy) Sisson, Peter (Rosalie) Sisson, and Barbara (Steve) Sisson/Silverman. He has 9 grandchildren: David, Kathryn, Ben, Rachel, Rebecca, Allie, Mimi, Max and Charlie. He was a thoughtful and loving husband, father and grandfather, and will be missed by all.

As a general surgeon in St. Louis, he was beloved by his patients and their families as well as respected by his professional colleagues.

Memorial service to be held at: Temple Emanuel located at 12166 Conway Road, on Tuesday, April 23rd at 2:00 p.m. Reception to immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Louis Symphony or Barnes/Jewish Hospital.
