Emma Jane (Janie) W. Gruenewald. 93 Years old. Beloved wife of Albert James Gruenewald for 61 years, adored mother of James F. Gruenewald and Patricia J. Gruenewald Ray, and dearest grandmother to Abigail L. Ray and James W. Ray. Janie was a proud member of the DAR since 1952, having served as Regent of the Jefferson Chapter NSDAR, from 1970-1972 and again from 1984-1985. She was also a long time member of the St. Louis Wednesday Club, having served as its President from 1997-1999 and was a lifetime member of the Christian Science Church, belonging to First Church, Christ Scientist, Creve Coeur, Missouri. Janie’s beautiful smile, her ever-joyous love for life, and her gracious and caring warmth will be deeply missed by her family and by her wide circle of friends.
