Tom and Family, it has been 30 years since we have seen you and Martha on a regular bases while we all lived in Chesterfield Hills. Those were wonderful days and both you and Martha were always such good friends and at the center of all activities. We will always remember Martha and her smiling face and being a gracious hostess. You have a wonderful family and I’m certain that their support will be extemely appreciated during this time of sorrow. We will all miss Martha, she was a wonderful person. Love, Ike&Sandi.

Tom….this is Peggy Phillips. As you might remember, Martha and I were roommates at Stephens and she was in my wedding and we shared an apartment in Columbia when she was at MU. I lost touch with her sometime in the late 70s and have been thinking about her for several months so I decided to do a search on the internet. I’m so very saddened to hear of her death. I have always cherished our time at Stephens together….and after when we became young mothers. God bless you and your family. Please know I have continued through the years to think of her as a close friend. The bond we established in college remains fresh in my heart.
Tom,
I have known you and your family for over 45 years and our cherished friendship remains to this day. Your enduring the losses of Martha and Shannon seem so unbearable but you have done so with such amazing strength and spirit. Hopefully, this scripture will give you some comfort:
2 Corinthians 1:3-4 English Standard Version (ESV)
God of All Comfort
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
