Sharon Jean Carpenter passed away at 7:05 pm November 14, 2013 at Barnes Jewish Hospital, surrounded by her family. She was born October 13, 1946 to Earl Minor and the late June (Darr) Minor.

On October 23, 1964 she married Gary Carpenter Sr.

Sharon worked for over 30 years as a medical office manager.

She is survived by her husband, Gary Carpenter Sr., father and stepmother, Earl and Becky Minor, two sons, Gary (Jeannie) Carpenter Jr., Alan (Tracy) Carpenter, one grandson, Cody Carpenter, two step grandsons, Chris and Aaron Bosaw, brother, Earl (Hein) Minor, and niece, Kathy Minor.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, traveling, line-dancing, golfing, and living life to the fullest.

A memorial party will be held from 6:30 to 9:30 pm, Wednesday, November 20, at Alton Sports Tap Banquet Hall, 3812 College Ave, Alton, IL 62002.
