I remember the loving spirit Nellie showed to my children when they were all at Evelyn’s house.
Hoping good memories will bring you comfort.

Sis. Beel, as I knew her, was a kind and courageous Christian lady. The world has lost a bright light of Christianity and an activist for the poor, and unborn babies. I am thankful I knew her many years ago, and am privileged to be friends with Evelyn and Debbie and their families. May God ease your sorrow by your many beautiful memories of this dear lady, your mother-in-law and grandmother. She left a legacy for you, her family. With sympathy, love, and prayers, Judi Gillespie
I loved Sister Nellie! I met her during the mid-1980s through a church friend who had met her on a city bus, and we had many times fellowshiping and sharing the good things of the Lord together. I remember how she would go through the St. Louis telephone directory and witness her faith to strangers. She would also carry tracts with her, as spiritual seeds to plant. She wrote this little poem and gave it to me: “Everywhere you go, take some seed to sow. And you can surely know, some of it will grow!”
Nellie sowed many seeds of love, light, Truth and kindness to others, and these will clothe her in the world to come.
