Before I was old enough to drive, all the money I earned babysitting, and later, waiting tables at Pirrone’s, was put into a savings account with hopes to one day, own my own car. By 17, I finally drove that dream home. With my new found freedom, I could go anywhere. I could do anything I wanted. Where would life bring me? All too soon I learned you can’t go anywhere in a car if you don’t change the oil. Mr. Knutson taught me that. He changed the oil in my car in exchange for a case of Mountain Dew. That was the purest act of kindness. Think about it. The man has a job, a house, a garden and 5 kids of his own yet he made time someone else’s kids problems. Ole’ Connie didn’t stop there. I’m certain he’s responsible for fixing half the televisions in Florissant. He was the go-to-guy for any questions we ever had concerning repairs. That is a title only earned by trust. Your daddy was definitely the most trusted, honest, helpful person I have ever known. He didn’t talk much. Not to me. He proved, actions speak louder than words. The car? Well it never made it far but I was certain not to repeat the same doom upon the next. Complete credit to your dad. ~Big Hugs~
In the 6th grade, I decided to have a slumber party for my birthday. As always, Julie had a great idea – we should have the party outside, in a tent! Wow Jules, that would be awesome! That would be the most exciting party ever! A tent would trump all parties known to Robinwood Elementary but I don’t have a tent. Julie wasn’t going to let that minor detail ruin my special day. She commissioned her dad’s tent. Mr. Knutson not only brought us the loaner tent, he set it up in my backyard. Thank you for the best birthday party I ever had!
Loosing you dad, still doesn’t feel real. I hope that in heaven there is plenty of cheeseburgers, Andy Griffith, George Jones, and pie. Give mom hugs and love from us all. Thank you for being not only a wonderful dad, but also a fine human being. All that knew you loved you.

I was in Flight Test as was Connie. We were in different departments but we were in Flight Test together. Connie could fix just about anything and everyone liked him. He will be missed by all who knew him.

I knew Connie well. I knew him for a long time. He was always kind and never too busy to help others. I think most of the people in Flight Test knew and liked him. He will be missed.
