I’m sorry for your loss of Joe.
The Tuesday after Memorial Day I rode on my bike by his house and was shocked. He lives on the route I take to get to the library. I figured he had gotten out ok and was worried that the dogs hadn’t. A couple days later I was told by someone who lives in Charlack that he died in the fire. That shocks and saddens me.

My first encounter with Joe was seeing him on roller blades with his 4 or 5 dogs. I said to myself I’ve got to talk to this guy. That was the beginning of a nice casual friendship. We saw each other at the library, in the neighborhood and sometimes far distances from home, me riding my bike, Joe walking his dogs. Based on his job and the way he took care of his dogs with long distance walks sometimes on roller blades, it seems Joe was a unique person. I really appreciate that. I will miss seeing him and saying Hi.
    Dan
