Barry Hanson
Barry Hanson died on May 26, 2014 with his family by his side in St. Louis, MO.
Barry Hanson was born in Bridgeport, CT on Janaury 27, 1956 and the son of late Richard and Shirley Hanson. He is survived by his life partner Janice Schenewerk, children: Barry Hanson, Jr, Susan Hanson, Mark Hanson, Jessica Hanson, Jacob Hanson and Casey Hanson as well 10 grandchildren.
Barry’s survived byT his sister Karen Toth, her husband Rich and brother Kevin Hanson, and their children: Michelle and Jay Gutveg, Richard Hanson III, Eric Hanson, Christopher Hanson, Cameron Cooper, Austin Cooper, Gabriel Cooper and Stephanie Chastek.
He also is loved and cherished by his other family: Martha Schenewerk, Carla Baum, Joan Pace, Karen and Donnie Miller, Keith and Kim Schenewerk, Lynne Schenewerk, David Roth, Patty and James Wilson, Heidi and James Stringer,and Eric Schenewerk. He is remembered by neices and nephews: Amie Schenewerk, Katelyn Schenewerk, Tucker Key, Jacqui and Kythele Mayfield, Kenyon Wilson, Christy and Daniel Lilley, Shelby Cagle, Travis Stringer, Hunter Stringer, and Hannah Schenewerk. Barry will also be remembered by 10 great neices and nephews from both sides of the families and a host of friends.
Barry was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Hanson. Jr., and family members Gene Schenewerk, Austin and Tyler Stringer.
Barry was loved for his sense of humor, he enjoyed making people laugh and smile. He was a music lover, loved old television shows, spent his spare time working on cars with his kids and spending time with his granddaughter, Adrianna Hanson. Barry made friends every where he went, no one was a stranger and he helped people evey chance he found. Some of Barry’s favorite times were camping and sitting on the river bank with a cold drink, music and family/friends.
Barry worked many years as a maintenance person in the healthcare industry up until 2011, then spent time with his family and enjoying his interests.
The family has made the decision to have a gathering to celebrate the life of Barry. Janice and his children would love for family members and friends to join in the celebration and memories of this loved man. The celebration will be held on June 8, 2014 at Tilles Park, at Picnic site #5 beginning at 1:00 p.m. Contact Janice at jaschenewerk@yahoo.com for more information and to RSVP.

I love mg brother and my heart breaks every day since he left us. He is always has been and always will be my best friend! I will miss his stupid jokes ! His wisdom that I did turned to at times! His only fall back is that he like women I dated! Man he was wrong about them all! Barry I love you, give mom, dad, and Ricky a kiss for me!
