Ruby Yeager

RubyyeagerRuby Yeager (nee Collins) passed away peacefully in her sleep on the morning of June 21, 2014 at the age of 77.

She is survived by her loving children; Wayne L. King & his wife Dawn(Hearst) and Pam Bellchamber & her husband Don. She was proud of her 5 granchildren; Jason & Keith King and Travis, Casey & Libby Hoffmann; and her 3 great-granchildren; Alysia, Jade and Hudson. She also leaves behind her brother Russell Collins & his wife Verna and dear sister Sharon Allen & her husband Jack and sister Joan Chilton.

Ruby enjoyed spending time with her friends, especially Linda and Wilma, and her occasional trips to the casino (or “The Boat” as she liked to call it).

Even at the age of 77, Ruby worked part-time as a caregiver for the elderly and the ill who needed an extra hand. She often made home-cooked meals f0r them, styled their hair or painted their nails or whatever else she could do to provide simple pleasures for those who couldn’t do for themselves. Ruby earned her place in the memory of those whose lives were touched by her kind and generous nature.

Per Ruby’s wishes, private services will be held by her family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the American Lung Association appreciated. www.lung.org

Dear Pam and family – holding all of you in my prayers, thoughts. And, yes, how caring were Ruby’s actions towards those she looked after as a caregiver. It takes a special person to fill that role.

As probably her oldest – and longest time friend – Ruby Etta will be missed. We were neighbors when we were both very young (probably 5). She had the most wonderful laugh! Her kindness to many will be sorely missed. My deepest sympathy to the entire family.

Pam: So sorry about the passing of your mother. Take comfort in the knowledge that she is not suffering. Hugs to you and your family.
