Marti, Sorry to hear about Jean’s passing. It is never easy, even when it’s a relief in many ways. I will always remember her as being a most loving, kind, generous, and intelligent person, (and quick to correct improper grammar as evidenced by her many years of teaching English ). One of my most vivid memories was of her baking me a delicious lattice – topped apple pie ( with a piece of cheddar cheese on the side ! ) when I drove down to Knoxville and helped Don and her for a week’s worth of household chores. Take solace in knowing that she loved greatly and in return was loved greatly as well.
Marty and Family- Please accept my deepest and sincere condolences at this difficult time. Shalom, Carolyn Foster
Dearest Marti,Beth and families, my deepest sympathy to you and your family . Your mom was a very special friend to Gene and me especially when we were neighbors for those many happy years. I especially remember those Friday afternoons when we would get together to commiserate about the tough week we had at Keene High. You two would play and “babysit” for Stacey and Mick. Those days we will always fondly cherish. God bless all of you at this most difficult time. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
