Karen Carthy
Karen Denise Carthy (Kelley), 53, of Caseyville, IL, born February 1, 1961 in El Centro, CA, died Saturday, October 25, 2014. Many people of the community may have known Karen from the years she worked for Bretts Caytown. She enjoyed her job and always spoke highly of her customers. Karen enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, shopping, playing the lottery, and holiday gatherings with her family.
Survived by her 3 sons, Brian (Brandy) Kelley, Matthew (Jennifer) Kelley, and Michael Kelley; 6 grandchildren Austin, Dylan, Hailey, Mason, Dalton, and Lucas; 5 brother and sisters, Bill (Debra) Kelley, Sharon (Richard) Chambers, Patricia (Robert) Kelley, Cynthia Kelley, and Douglas (Carrisa) Eason. She was preceded in death by her parents, Delores Ann Eason and Bill Howard Kelley, and two brothers.
Karen has chosen cremation. A memorial service will be held on November 1, 2014 at the VFW Post 1117, 415 N. Long St. Caseyville, Il from 12-3.

Karen will always be remmembered as “Niecie” to me. My prayers and condolences to her family and friends.
I’m so sorry to hear about Karen. Karen and I grew up together in the same foster home (Joe and Blanche Romanick). She was like a sister to me. I have a few pictures of us when we were both children. If her boys are interested, contact me at 618-452-4947. I had no idea that Karen was sick. I’M SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS. Karen was very sweet.
