Larry J. Sims, Sr.
Larry J Sims Sr. 60 of Dupo Ill. formerly of North Carolina passed away at 1:03 P.M. Sunday October 26 2014 at Barnes Jewish Hospital St. Louis Mo. Surrounded by his loving family.
Larry worked in the paint and body field that he enjoyed very much. Larry was a loving devoted family man. Larry was Christian. He enjoyed drag racing, spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids, playing washers and playing pool.
Larry was preceded in death by his mother Mary Pines his father Talmadge Sims Sr. his brothers T.C. Sims, Frankie Sims, Don Sims, Cecil Sims his son Billy Hearty, and his in-laws Ruby and Willie Hall.
Surviving by his loving wife Sharon Hearty Sims; Brothers Randy and Ronnie Sims of North Carolina, Charles Sims of Texarkana Tx; Sisters Peggy Underwood of Kansas City Kansas, Grace(Eddie) Summerland of Mt. Holly N.C; Brother in law Jim (Patty) Franklin of Troy Ill, Kevin (Terry) Hall of Ferguson Mo. Danny (Marsha) Hall of Collinsville Ill; Sister in-law Nora (Jim) LaCroix; Sons Larry Sims Jr. of Paris Tx, Bryan(Shannon) Hearty of New Baden Ill; Daughters Rosie Sims of Paris Tx., Jonice Sims of Ark. Tina (Chuck) Metrolis of Meridian Ms; Grandchildren Daniel Morrell of Waskom Tx, Dustin Anthony of New London, Kari Hearty of Belleville Ill. Aron Hearty of Crowley La, Alyson Hearty of Belleville Ill. Ira McDonald of New Baden Ill. Shealee Sims of Paris Tx, Zoe Hearty of Blytheville Ark, Klover Hearty of Paragould Ark . Great Grandchildren Daniel Morrell of Ca, Adrian(Taco) Jones of Belleville Ill, Kyndall Vandiver-Morrell, Kamber Downey of Collinsville MS. and many other family members and loving friends.

His Christian soul that has left us, shall rest in paradise. I pray to God to give this family courage, to accept their loss and move forward in life as Larry would have wanted.
Our hearts go out to my sister in law Sharon & my nieces & nephews. My brother was a good & loving man. He was a Christian man & loved the lord. I know one day I will see him & rest of my family that gone to be with Jesus.Larry, I love you.
