Frances Lorraine Gill (January 5, 1932-December 9, 2014) —————————————————

Born a Pennsylvanian, professionally trained in the caring arts as a lifelong Registered Nurse, and a truly one-of-a kind wife and mother, Frances passed away at home early on December 9^th. She dealt both progressively and courageously against Alzheimers disease for the past two to three years. Raised in the proud steel town of Bethlehem while in the tender care of Margaret and Joseph Dias, Miss Frances L. Pierog attended St. Luke’s School of Nursing, then went on to additional courses in opthalmalogical nursing at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia. Early into her nursing studies, she fell in love with and awhile later married James, a bright young microbiologist in training at nearby Lehigh University. Raising four sons along the way,she worked hard as a well-regarded R.N. in various hospitals in Wilmington, Delaware and Freehold, New Jersey.However, she completed her nursing career as an esteemed neurosurgical nurse, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. Frances is survived by her loving husband and constant partner in life’s adventures for just under sixty years, James W. Gill, by four grown sons, Jeffrey (Christine, fiancee), Glendon, Jonathan (Nicole)and Kevin(Denise), by four grandchildren, Richard, Christopher, Halle and Christian…and by good friends no longer with her from coast to coast. Arrangements were made with St. Louis Cremation, but there will be no additional memorial services. In all, she is greatly loved, greatly missed, gone heavenward while finally also out of pain and hopefully, now well honored…
