Sylvester Knittel

Departed very peacefully on April 11, 2015 at his home.

Syl was one of eight children of the late Sylvester and Cynthia Herman. He was born on September 3, 1927 in St. Louis, MO. Sylvester was a master Carpenter, member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society at Our Lady of Good Council Church and later on, a member of the 50 Plus Club at St. Mark Catholic Church whom enjoyed life and socializing.

Sylvester was preceded in death by his loving wife, Dorothy (“Dot”).

Sylvester was a brother to the late Dorothy Hafemeister Knittel (the late Harry Hafemeister); the late Helen Beier Knittel (the late Gus Beier); Jeanette Knittel; the late Raymond Knittel (Gabriella Knittel); Richard Knittel, Sr. (the late Doris Knittel); the late Charlotte Cole Knittel (the late Bob Cole) and Francis Knittel (Donna Knittel).

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., April 18^th, St. Mark Catholic Church, 8300 Morganford Road, St. Louis, MO.
