Born In East St. Louis Illinois on 20 Jan, 1933, to the late

Clyde Eversmeyer and Eva Winter Eversmeyer.

Two older brothers, William (Bill) and Carson (Corky) Eversmeyer, also preceded her in death.

She graduated from Dupo High School, Dupo Illinois, in 1951.

Married to Gene Downing, December 29, 1956. He survives of the home. She was a homemaker in the greatest sense of the word, and made her family her priority all of her life.

She is also survived by 3 children, Son Dennis & wife Cindy of O’Fallon, MO; Daughter Wendy & husband John Goodwin of Fisk, MO; and Son Kerry & wife Lucy of Mascoutah, IL.

She is also survived by 6 grandchildren: Josh Downing & wife Kim of Cottlesville, MO; Kristin Downing of St. Louis, MO; Courtney Birdwell of Republic, MO; Elias Birdwell of Fort Dodge, IA; Rachel & Eric Downing of O’Fallon, MO; 3 step-grandchildren, Carly Hoffman and husband Joshua of Chicago, IL; Renee and Ava Romano; and one great grandchild, Adam Downing of Cottlesville, MO; and one step-great grandchild, Haylie Hoffman.
