Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at the age of 93. She was born in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of the late James Ralph Paynter and Mary Agnes Paynter (nee Curry).

After the death of her father, the family moved to St. Louis and she attended the Academy of the Sacred Heart in St. Charles, MO, where she graduated in 1939. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Ceil Lottes (Arthur), and her brothers, Ralph Curry Paynter (Marie-but always remembered as Sissy) and James William Paynter (Margaret), who is survived by his wife Mary.

She was the beloved wife of the late William H. Hann, Jr., loving mother of John, Patricia, Stephen (Diane), Ellen and Michael (Marsha); dear grandmother of Bryan, Heather, Melissa, Sara and Kate; great-grandmother of Jonah, Mikayla, Raymon and Hailey.

A celebration of her life will be held at Ambruster Great Hall, 6633 Clayton Road on Saturday June 13th from 1-4pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Academy of the Sacred Heart, St. Charles, MO or the American Heart Association. Sincere thanks to the BJC Hospice staff for their kind and generous care of Patricia over the past months.
