James Paul Holland, known by most as Paul, passed away peacefully at home on June 25, 2015, surrounded by his loved ones, at the age of 77.

Son of the late Guy and Josephine Holland, Paul was born in Dexter, Missouri. He was the loving husband of Joyce Holland; beloved father of Helen (Mike) Launhardt of Rochester, NY, Denise (Randall) Moore of Lake St. Louis, MO and stepfather of Brad (Paula) Joachims of Leavenworth, KS, Julie (Carlos) Trejo of Ferguson, MO and honorary daughter Stephanie Joachims of Ferguson, MO; dear grandfather of Leigh (Nathan) Herkamp of Rochester, NY, Ashley (Shannon) Stock of St. Louis, MO, Lindsey (Nick) Dorland of Catskill, NY, Cameron, Nathaniel & Cassandra Moore of Lake St. Louis, MO and step-grandfather of Timothy & Jennifer Joachims and Enrique Trejo, all of Ferguson, MO; great-grandfather of Alivia & Jesse Dorland, Evelyn Herkamp and Donnie Stock; brother of Guy (Treesa) Holland II of Soldotna, AK, twin Mary Donna (Don) Haskins of St. John, MO, the late Suzanne Koonce, Jill (John) Holmes of Cape Cod, MA, Nancy Holland of Bethesda, MD, John David (Linda) Holland of Houston, MO and Chris (Jan) Holland of Springfield, MO; dear uncle of a host of nieces and nephews.

Paul was a proud business owner of Holland Painting. Paul enjoyed fishing and camping, was an avid bridge player (and liked other card games) and Billikens basketball fan (as well as many other sports). His life revolved around his family, his church and his garden. He was loved and respected by all who knew him.

Services: Memorial visitation on Sunday, July 5, 2015 at 1pm with formal service at 4:30pm at Immanuel United Church of Christ, 221 Church St., Ferguson, MO 63135. In lieu of flowers, donations to Immanuel UCC preferred.
