Paul Thomas Krispin, Sr.
Paul Thomas Krispin, Sr. passed away peacefully at his home, fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, surrounded by his loved ones on December 26, 2015. He was 80 years old.
Paul was born in St. Louis, Missouri on September 10, 1935. He was the oldest of the children born to the late Felix and Elvira Krispin. He met the love of his life- Donna Mae Davis, and they married on January 31, 1959. Together they raised a family that he cared for very much. Paul worked for over 35 years at the Anheuser Busch brewery and retired from his job as a quality control supervisor in the early ’90s. Most of all, he will be remembered by those who knew him as a family man who always wanted to be there for his loved ones.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Donna Mae Krispin; his loving children Paul T. Krispin, Jr. (Nancy), James G. Krispin (Eileen) and John J. Krispin (Renee); his dear grandchildren Michelle (Ben) Westerman, Janine (Allan) Deiermann, Joseph (Mary) Krispin, Danielle Krispin, Courtney (Steven) Iverson, Brian Krispin, Katherine Krispin, Michael Krispin and Rachel Krispin; one cherished great-grandchild – Brooklyn Westerman; his siblings David (Joanne) Krispin, Clare Leber and Gregory (Kathleen) Krispin; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and countless friends.
Services: Memorial Mass on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 10:00 am at St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Catholic Church, 4900 Ringer Road, St. Louis MO 63129. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Wounded Warrior Project at woundedwarriorproject.org or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at stjude.org. Per Paul’s wishes, burial will be private.
John, my thoughts and prayers are with you and you’re family. The tribute in his honor is beautiful as I’m sure your father was.
Jim and Paul: So sorry to hear of the loss of your Father, especially at this time of year. I also lost my Father this year, on December 17. Paul and I served together in the army reserve. He was a first class guy, and a good friend. RIP my old friend.
I knew him as uncle, godfather and hockey coach. Probably my best memory of him is while driving to a hockey game his questioning the veracity of a common phrase which when heard to this day still makes me laugh. My condolences to his loving family.
Mr. Krispin was the kindest and most wonderful man…after my mother’s death I was attending daily Mass at SMMA, and he just very gently helped me with my grief. When I started to get back on my feet, he came to visit me at my work bringing me Gus’s pretzels to make me smile. And, at many SMMA Fish Fry, he would save me special desserts…what a wonderful person and I was so very blessed to have him in my life. I will miss you at SMMA…My prayers for John and Donna.
Paul and I worked together in Quality Control at the brewery for many years. Those are some great memories. We continued our friendship and kept some of those memories alive when we’d see each other at SMMA. I’ll miss you my friend. My condolences to all of Paul’s family and loved ones.
