Frank Fiore

age 64, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 8, fortified with the sacraments of Holy Mother Church, at his home in St. Louis. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, January 15 at Saint Mary Magdalen, 2618 Brentwood Boulevard, St. Louis at 10am, with a family visitation at 9am.

Frank was born on September 23, 1951 in Spazzano Piccolo, Italy, the second oldest of two children, to the late Assunta and Antonio Fiore. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Marian (nee Berwin) Fiore, his son Frankie Fiore, his sister Carmela Fiore, his cousin and best man at his wedding Frank and his wife Terry Spizzirri, dear brothers in law David (Nancy) Berwin, Kevin (Dru) Berwin, Charles, Jerry, Tim (Donna) and sisters in law Mary Ann (David) O’Gorman, Jo Ellen (John) Whalen, Kathleen (Richard) Gregory, Patricia (Bob) Deppen and the late Jeanine (Ed) Youngblood, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family.

Frank had a heart of gold, was incredibly patient and generous in all things, in the way he helped both family, neighbors and co-workers, and was childlike in his heart. He was a fan of Indiana University sports, the Cardinals, Blues and Indianapolis Colts. Frank retired in 2014 after more than 35 years with National and Schnucks, where he was a union shop steward for 20 years. He served as an usher at Busch Stadium during the 2014 season. He will be missed dearly.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Frank’s name may be made to St. Louis Catholic Charities, 4532 Lindell Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63108.
