born July 6, 1925 and died January 16, 2016 in St. Louis, Missouri. She was married to the late Kenneth Henry Hisel on November 26, 1943. Kenneth preceded H Marie in death on October 6, 2001 and was patiently waiting for her to join him. The two of them met when Ken was stationed in St. Louis during WWII.

Marie learned to bowl in the 1950’s and the bowling community became her second family. She worked for 15 years at Tropicana Bowling Lane. She became interested in the administration side of sanctioned bowling. She was elected president of the St. Louis Woman’s Bowling Association and the Missouri State Women’s Bowling Association, and was inducted into both organizations Hall of Fame. She received the Helen Baker Award, Alberta E. Crow Award, the National and State and local bowling writing awards. After retiring from her bowling career she became the president of her local computer club.

Marie is survived by her daughter Linda ( Victoriano C.) Pineda; granddaughter Alicia Marie Pineda; cousin Roberta Marie Miles; and nieces Brenda Malone and Karla Harris.

Marie and Kenneth will be laid to rest at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery 2900 Sheridan Rd. St. Louis, MO 63125 on February 1, 2016 at 1:00 PM. They will be together in eternity as they were in life.
