Frank “DJ” Armstrong

Frank Demantra Jereall “DJ” Armstrong was born on December 28, 1983, to Wilma Smith and Frank Armstrong in Saint Louis, Missouri. He was a man of faith, developing a relationship with Christ at an early age.

DJ was a naturally curious child. While he enjoyed the typical childhood pastime activities, he also relished in dismantling and rewiring electronics and assisting in carpentry and automotive work. He loved figuring out how things worked. It was no surprise that after attending Marquette High School, DJ would found his career calling in a company that dismantles, buys and sells automotive parts.

At the center of DJ’s heart was his love for family. He was a devoted son and supportive brother. He enjoyed gathering with loved ones and beating them at a game of pool or pickup basketball. He took pride in being able to lend a helping hand when needed. Above all, he enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his children.

On Sunday, March 13, 2016, DJ departed this life. He leaves to cherish his memory: two sons, DeMantra and Jereall; a daughter, Chrissy; a mother, Wilma Smith; two sisters, Frankesha and Rickater; a brother, O’Jay; two nieces, Maleia and Addisyn; a nephew, Robert; an extended family, Don, Cartelia, Kennedy and Kayden; and a host of relatives and friends whom he dearly loved.

To The family of Frank (DJ) I was very sad to hear about his accident . I haven’t seen my friend in years but he was my friend and anytime we did see each other it was always love. I knew DJ from Ballwin to Marquette those are a lot of years we had in school. It was a group of us that all took to each other girls and boys. We all had lots of fun even when we got in trouble we made that fun. Memories and pitchers are worth everything keep his memory alive for his children. My condolences goes to all of you but now DJ is yall angle in the sky looking over you all!
