Baker, James ‘Frank’

Frank Baker passed away peacefully at home on March 28, 2016 with his loved ones by his side. Frank was born on October 17, 1935 in St. Louis to the late Ernest and Amy Baker. Loving husband of Peggie Baker (nee Vogt), dear father of James F. Baker, Jr., M. Amy Baker Gegg (Toz Barry), and the late Michael Joseph Baker. Awesome Papa to Sarah (Steve) Collier, Samantha Gegg, Ryan and Abigail Baker, and great grandfather to Genevieve Collier. Brother to Ellen Littleton, Ernest Baker and the late Claire Pisarski. Beloved brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and cherished friend to many.

Frank battled a chronic liver disease for over 25 years without complaint. His family would like to extend sincere thanks to Dr. Andrew Su, for all the years of exceptional care. Frank was an intelligent, hard-working, honest, generous and faith-filled man. He was devoted to his family and he was adored by his grandchildren.

Frank retired from Dial Corporation in 1997, and then enjoyed working part-time as a driver for Enterprise Rental Car. Frank loved the Rocky Mountains and took many trips there with his son Jim. He was an avid bridge player, and also enjoyed poker. Frank will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all his friends and his family. We rejoice in knowing Frank is now at peace with our loving Father in heaven.

Our love and Gods blessings go out to Peggie and the rest of the family. We loved Frank as a friend and a wonderful and kind man. He loved to play games and was very competitive and always knew the rules. He also enjoyed a good joke. We will miss his smiling face and kind demeanor. I’m sure he is enjoying time with Michael now. May God give you strength as you go through this difficult time. Love Jan & Warren

Dear Peggie And Family; So sorry to hear of Frank’s death. He was the most optimistic man we have ever met. His example of Faith gave Jim and I hope when we were ill. Please accept our sincerest sympathy. We know how much you will miss him, but he is with Michael now and you have one more person to ask God for his help when you need it. He was a good friend. So long, Frank, til we meet again in Heaven. (we hope).Judy and Jim.
