Ruth Marie Donahay (nee Thierer) passed on April 18, 2016 after a brief illness. She was 92 years young.

Ruth was born on March 30, 1924 in Iowa County, Wisconsin to the late Alban and Della Thierer (nee McGuire).

She is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years – Justin J. Donahay; her six loving children: Kathleen (Patrick) Quain, Michael (Cathie) Donahay, Theresa (Dan) Falwell, Mary (Rick) Corcoran, Anne (Michael) Renfro and Patrick (Sherie) Donahay; thirteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Gladys (Steve) Szabo; and many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Melvin Thierer; and sisters Shirley Sennett, Mary Fahey and Zelma Thierer. Ruth gifted her body to St. Louis University for science.

Services: A visitation for family and friends will be held at Bethesda Orchard Retirement Center, 31 N. Orchard Ave., Webster Groves, MO 63119 on Fri., April 22nd from 5-8pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 7630 Sutherland Ave., Shrewsbury MO 63119 on Sat. April 23rd at 12pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Bethesda Orchard Garden Club (same address as above) or the Webster Groves Public Library, 301 E. Lockwood, Webster Groves MO 63119 appreciated.
