Judy Bruns (nee Boncyk) passed away peacefully in her home in Kirkwood, MO on May 11, 2016 at the age of 78. She was born May 2, 1938 in Cincinnati, OH; grew up in Lafayette, IN; raised her family in Danville, IL; and enjoyed her children and grandchildren in St. Louis, MO. Judy was an avid gardener, sports fan and animal lover who was devoted to her husband, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John R. Bruns; parents Louis and Elizabeth Boncyk (nee Thoma); and her sisters Mary Bauer (Hank) of Roanoke, VA and Barbara Dowdy of San Diego, CA. She is survived by her brother Louis Boncyk of Houston, TX and her three children Tony Bruns (Jean), Laura Wells (Robert), and John Bruns, as well as two granddaughters, Cameron Wells and Haley Wells.

Judy will be buried with the love of her life at the National Veteran’s Cemetery in Danville, IL with a graveside service at a time yet to be announced. Celebrate her spirit and remember her unselfish nature.
