James Thomas Perrot passed away on July 22, 2016, Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church. He was 69 years old.

He served our citizens with the St. Louis Police Department (SLPD) for 13 years and finished his career at Anheuser Busch. Please leave memories of James and condolences for his family below.
Jim was loved by all who knew him, including myself. He was a special person who lit up a room with his smile and laughter. He cared so much about everyone. That showed in him organizing our neighborhood reunion every year to keep friends close, even this year when he was so sick. Linda, Bob, Margaret and family, you are in my thoughts and prayers during the rough days ahead. I know the loss you feel, Jim was one terrific guy.
I am truly saddened by Jim’s death. Jim was more than just a friend, he was an amazing person. I was proud to call him my friend and I will miss him very much. His passing will not only leave a void in our lives, but in the hearts of everyone who knew him. Jim’s memory will always remain with me.
If there is anything that I can do to help you in anyway, please do not hesitate to call me. I am always here for you at a moment’s notice.
My sincere thoughts and prayers are with you.
With deepest sympathy,
Don McMurtry
I was visiting the wife in that ICU at St. Luke’s when the priest gave Mr. Perrot the last rites. His serious devotion and clear friendship for the patient really struck all of us, including a doctor and some nurses. By watching the deliberate prayers of that monk in the brown robes as he spoke so soothingly to the man, I’m sure James is resting in peace. I’m sorry but I didn’t catch his name. Our sympathies.
Jim was a super guy! He, brother Bob and their Dad were loyal customers at our family business, Carl’s 66 Service (Now Carl’s Service Inc.) at Humphrey and Roger Pl in St. Louis. What a great thing he did when he headed up the Bent/Utah reunions in 2006! We’ll all miss him dearly. Our deepest sympathies to his family.
Sorrowfully,
Bill & Barb Osia
My condolences to the family and loved ones of Jim Perrot. He is a great man and will be forever remembered. He had a smile and personality that I will never forget.
He is one of the best Police officers that the City of St. Louis has ever employed.
I am sad to hear of Uncle Jim’s death. I have fond memories of big personality and infectious laughter. He was such an inspiring man.
My condolences to Linda and family. I know you must be feeling a very big void. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Jim, Having known you for more than fifty years, we miss you terribly. Our family has been so very close, and now there is a void. God bless you and watch over us.
Jim was my patrol boy when he was in 8th grade and I was in 1st at Holy Family. I admired him then as a kid. He met me at Police HQ when I was a St. Louis Police Cadet in 1973 and helped me feel welcome there and a part of the team. Both of us moved from law enforcement to corporate security and I could always call him to get a well founded opinion and as a great contact. Jim was a great man and I am so, so sorry to hear of his passing at such a young age. My prayers for his family. Rest in God’s peace.
Jim you have been a friend since high school, served with you as a police officer and your neighbor in Fenton. You will be missed. May the Lord watch over you and keep you.
Jim was a wonderful person. I’ll always remember our childhood in south St. Louis, attending Holy Family grade school, and all the fun we had playing baseball at the park at Bent & Utah.
I’ll always be thankful to Jim for taking the initiative to be in charge of our annual neighborhood reunion.
My condolences to Linda and the family during this trying time.
We are very sorry for your loss. We always looked forward to seeing and talking to Jim at the RHS reunion meetings and get-togethers. Wishing you peace and God’s continued blessings. We’ll be keeping the entire family in our thoughts and prayers.
Jim was good friend to me!
We go back to that pic of alter boys.
Jim went to work for the St. Louis PD and I went into the Army.
He and I hooked up again when I came back from my service and I bought a house on Matilda in Affton and Jim and I lived together there for a few years.
Great fun memories!
Here is one of them: It was the 4th of July and Jim came to Bull Shoals Lake to celebrate with a bunch of our friends.
So its getting time to set off fire works and Jim brought out several/lots of grocery bags loaded with fire works of all kinds that he had confiscated over the year from the hood.
Well you know Jim he didn’t want to set them off one at a time, he want to make a memorable event. So he found an 8 ft aluminum boat in the water and put all the fireworks in the boat, we took the boat to the middle of the cove doused the boat with gasoline and light-er up.
OMG you had to be there!!
I Talked to him about 2 months ago and all was ok, healing from the motorcycle accident but ok.
I will miss him! Wish I could have said goodbye! RIP

Jim was such a special person, unchanged since our high school days until recently working on reunions together. He had a heart of gold, always concerned about others and willing to help anyone. His smile alone was a joy. My deepest sympathy to his family and friends. May he rest in peace.

My condolences to the Perrot family. I admired Jim’s kindness and thoughtfulness, a true gentleman.
My condolences and prayers to family and friends. Jim was a great man, and friend forever. I knew Jim well on the City P.D and while he was at A.B. as well. We hadn’t seen each other for quite some time after I retired from the P.D. and moved out of state. When I moved back several years ago I would see him monthly at the “ACLU” meetings (All Cop Lovers Union). He was still the same after all those years, a great guy and still a friend. I will miss you Jim, the world be be a lonelier place without you. Until we meet again my friend.
Jim,
It was nice working with you. You were not only great policeman but a class act.
We may shed a tear here but I would guess that God is walking around heaven
With a smile on his face .
Goodbye buddy.
