Linda Sue Luster
Linda Sue Luster (Yoder) 53, passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2016. At the time of her death, she was surrounded by her husband, sisters, brothers, cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends. Linda was born in St. Louis, Missouri, the fourth child to the late Darwin and Shirley Yoder (Bush) of Arnold, MO on August 29, 1963.
Linda was the wife of Michael “Seth” Luster of Denton, TX for 32 years. You would frequently hear the story that it was the best 20 bucks she ever spent and often referred to him as “Poopsie”. She left Arnold, MO shortly after graduating Fox Sr. High School in 1981 to live the next 35 years in Texas. She loved her home, community and Texas family dearly.
Linda was preceded in death by her mother and father, a brother Guy W. Yoder, sister-in-law JoAnn Yoder (Anderson), Father-in-Law Billy Joe Vines and brother-in-law Weldon Leon Vines. In addition to her husband (Seth), Linda leaves behind her brother Mark Yoder (Shirley), sisters Lisa (Steve) Wille and Lora (Mike) Huffman; Mother-in-Law, Jettie Lou Vines; Sister-in-law of Michael Joe (Janice) Vines, Billy (Linda) Vines, Kenneth (Marie) Luster and Tim (Patti) Vines.
Although she never had children, she was a wonderful aunt to her niece’s Tina, Hannah, Amanda, Lela, Becky, Shonna, Tiffany, Heather, Jamey, Angela, Maegan and Tomi; and dear Nephews: Bradley, Shane, Ryan, Joe Michael, Brent, Matthew, Danny and the late Justin Luster.
Linda was a designer at On the Cuff Embroidery in Denton, TX for many years. She loved hunting, photography, gardening, tequila and lived a life that nurtured the body, mind and spirit. She had a heart the size of Texas, a beautiful soul and spirit that touched the life of everyone she met. She was a friend, buddy, sissy, sistah, aunt, cousin, niece, sister, tootsie and wife that will be missed dearly.
The family takes some comfort in knowing that Linda gave the gift of life through her eye and tissue donation that will help as many as 50 people or more. We asked that you consider registering as a donor, so that one day you can share a life with others too.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Linda’s memory to the North Texas Food Bank to help hungry children, families and seniors in the Dallas and surrounding areas and/or your local food bank.

May God Bless Linda’s Family & Friends during this time of loss. I did not get a chance to meet Linda but I can see from her video she was a lover of life, family, friends and fun! Thinking of your family and continued prayers that you may find PEACE in Linda’s Passing!
I will always remember Linda’s beautiful smile! My heart goes out to all of you! I’m so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you all!
A wonderful tribute. Words cannot help, but I am very sorry for your loss
Presently, there are no plans for a St. Louis memorial services. A private family ceremony will be held in Texas.
What a beautiful tribute! I’m so sorry, this is so sad & frankly a bit frightening that someone could die at such a young age so suddenly.
She will be deeply missed..
My deepest heartfelt sympathy to Seth and family. Linda was one of the kindest people I have known. She frequented my business often and was one of my favorite customers. She always gave a hug and was always smiling. Such a kind soul. I know she will be missed.
Prayers to Seth and family, I love you brother. She will be so missed, her beautiful smiles, her huge heart, her soul. I have so many great memories! She is so happy now living in heaven, no earthly stresses. We will meet again! I love you Seth. I love you dear Linda Lu – RIP

Linda’s smile would just light up a room. She and her husband Seth would always come out of the back when she heard my voice to give me a hug. Just a beautiful person inside and out! She will truly be missed and may God strengthen and comfort Seth and the family!
I regret that I have not had a chance to see Linda since I was very young but have many fond memories of her from my childhood and she will deeply missed.
I love & miss you so much sister.
I’m a couple years late to the party…I just found out Linda passed.
She was a great neighbor, mentor, role model, and an all around swell lady. I will miss her smile, and infectious smile and positivity.
Buffalo Skinner said not to be sad, because she is an angel now….if anyone is, she is.
I will miss you Linda.
I think of you often sissy. No words could ever describe my grief. I know your dancing around in Heaven with the rest of the family. I bet you look beautiful beyond words as an Angel. You are always in my heart and memories. The fun and craziness we used to do together will always bring a smile to my face.
My dear sister and best friend. It’s been 5 years since you’ve been gone, I think of you often and
miss you dearly.
Thinkin’ about you Linda! Miss ya keeping us all in line 🙂
It’s been over seven years since Linda left us, and not a day goes by when I don’t think of her. She continues to travel with me throughout my life, just as she did from the time I first met her, when I was eight and she was seven. She was a life-long best friend and the lives of those of us who were fortunate enough to know her, were changed forever on September 1, 2016. Luckily she left us great memories.
