I met him via Boy Scouts on over nights and week long camping and later on would see him at the Tree Lot at Christmas time. He was fair with the Scouts and was a Leader helping the Scouts mature. He was a generous storey teller and the Scouts and I enjoyed him very much. He kindness and courtesy showed through.

His wife, Debbie and sons , Michael and John are very delightful people

My heart is heavy with the loss, but the memories will always remain. Be strong, for he still lives through us – Richard

I just now found out that Ray had passed! Every so often, I would try and look up Ray to see what he was up to but never could find him. If it were not for the picture in this obit, I never would have known.

Ray and I were good friends and road racing buddies while I lived in St. Louis. Every now and again, we bought and raced each other’s cars, often traveling to Balkhawk Farms Raceway or Indianapolis road coarse. Ray was unquestionably the happiest guy I knew and always willing to help, no matter what it was. I could tell so many funny stories about Ray that certainly warm my heart.

My much belated condolences to the family. Just know that Ray had many friends that you probably didn’t know about.
