Lois E. Williams
Diane Timm, Bart Williams, and Cindy Dolniak would like to share with you that mom’s prayers have been answered; she peacefully passed away Thursday, December 29, 2016. Mom really enjoyed her time at Lake St. Charles Retirement Center where she experienced many wonderful day trips and activities. You would know that first hand if you ever called or stopped by during Uno or Bingo. While she never really played Bingo, she enjoyed calling the numbers for several years. Caris provided hospice care and pain management for her since August and what a blessing they were to her at each and every visit.
Lois E. Williams (Nee: Peterson), 88, of St. Charles was born August 3, 1928 to Charles & Dora Peterson, the youngest of 4 children, all deceased. Lois was married to Alden D. Williams (deceased), they had four children, Diane Timm (Gary), Butch Williams (deceased), Cynthia Dolniak, and Bart Williams. Seven grandchildren, Tracey Timm, Trevor Timm (Elise), Alex Williams, Lauren Dolniak, Ryan Dolniak, Brett Williams, and Olivia Williams. She was a beloved Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister, Grandmother, Godmother, Aunt, Cousin, and friend to anyone she met.
Lois was a long-time volunteer with Girl Scouts, Muscular Dystrophy St. Louis Telethons, TADS, and a charter member of Chapel of the Cross Lutheran Church. She also spent many years researching genealogy for her family and dads. It was not unusual for mom to show up at a family event or even a funeral with her laptop to tap into the relatives present. Always connecting the family dots from one generation to the next.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Chapel of the Cross Lutheran Church, 11645 Benham Road, St. Louis, MO 63136; Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri, 2300 Ball Drive, St. Louis, MO 63146; or Muscular Dystrophy Assn., 7909 Big Bend Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63119.
