Doretha “Dodie” Johnson
Doretha Moton Johnson was born on October 2, 1957 in St. Louis, MO to late Shirley Moton-West and Loyce West. She dedicated her life to Christ at an early age.
Doretha attended Northwest High School in St. Louis, MO. She later went on to work at Bellefontaine Rehabilitation center for 15 years, then she retired.
Doretha loved her family and friends dearly. She was a Kind and compassionate woman. She opened her home to anyone who needed help and she loved to cook for family and friends. She enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter and relaxing in the comfort of her home.
Doretha Moton Johnson was called home on January 5, 2017.
She leaves to cherish her memory; her father Loyce West; her daughter Shirla (Rahsaan D.) Caldwell-Hinds; granddaughter A’ja Hinds; a dearly beloved friend Winifred Manning, a host of cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
To know Dodie was to love her.
