Judith Charlotte Van Dyke
Judith Charlotte (Kolkmeyer) Van Dyke passed away peacefully in her home on March 12, 2017 after a hard yet gracious fight against cancer. She was born to the late Herbert and Lorene Kolkmeyer on August 25, 1940. Her sister M. Annette Penny preceded her in death in 2015. She was a loving wife to George Van Dyke for 55 years and wonderful mother to Linda Van Dyke and Cynthia (Tim) Peck. She was cousin and friend to many.
Judy was a graduate of the University of Missouri-St. Louis, Phi Kappa Phi and Alpha Sigma Lamda honor societies. She enjoyed serving as an Elder, Trustee and Deacon at Ferguson Presbyterian Church, as a Stephen’s Minister and as President and Recording Secretary of the Mary Martha Circle at Living Word United Methodist Church. Judy so enjoyed and appreciated her friends, many of whom were involved in a support group setting since her diagnosis.
Her faith was a very large part of her life and she departed this earth knowing she was going to be with God.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Living Word United Methodist Church, 17315 Manchester Road, Wildwood, MO, 63038 on Saturday March 25 at 12:30pm with a visitation at 11:30am.
Memorial contributions may be sent to Ronald McDonald House Charities of St. Louis, 3450 Park Ave, St. Louis, MO 63104.
There were many families of seriously ill children that were provided with care and compassion because of the love of Judy for Ronald McDonald House Charities. We at Ronald McDonald house express our deepest condolences to to George, Linda and Cindy.
My dear cousins Linda & Cynthia – your Mom was a treasure. She brought peace and comfort and Krispy Kremes to the house when Dad passed. I’m rejoicing that she is free of her pain, & with my folks & your grandfolks, and our Loving Father. Sending big hugs to you both, and Georgie. We love you guys. ?
Judy and George have been such a special part of our lives and our magic family for so many years. It was always wonderful to be with Judy and we will miss her greatly in our lives. Our sympathy and our love goes out to George, his daughters, and their family. Love and blessings to all,

I loved the video. Judy was a beautiful person (inside and out) and I am sure she will be watching over you. You guys made a fabulous couple and wonderful memories will help fill the gap. Your love for each other was obvious to everybody. It was a honor to know Judy. Stay strong and remember one day you will see your beautiful Judy again.
I am thinking and praying for you George.
Hugs
