St. Louis – Fred Charles Urbantke, passed away in his home March 22, 2017 at the age of 87. Born March 23, 1929 in St. Louis, MO to the late Fred and Virginia Urbantke. Loving husband of Alice Urbantke, loving and proud father of Gary Urbantke and his wife Ruth of Farmington, MO, Mark Urbantke of St. Louis, MO and Katie Hudson and her husband Chris of Overland Park, KS. Devoted and loving grandfather of Tracey Wolfe and her husband Chris of Columbia, MO, Greg Urbantke (deceased) and Hailey and Hunter Hudson. And very proud fur daddy of Snydley and Annie.

Fred was a member of the United States Naval Reserve during the Korean War. He retired from the Sprinkler Fitters Union #268 after 40 years. Fred has been a member of Crestwood Elks Lodge #2503 for over 20 years. He was an Honorary Member of the Lambda Beta Lambda Fraternity.

A memorial service will be held at Assumption Catholic Church 4725 Mattis Rd. St. Louis, MO at 10am on Saturday March 25, 2017. This will be followed by a luncheon at the Crestwood Elks Lodge #2503 10261 Bauer Rd. St. Louis, MO. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Fred’s name to the Humane Society or the Salvation Army.
