Dolores Fay Stachowski, known as Del to her many friends and family, left this life peacefully on April 5, 2017 at the age of 82 years, at St. Anthony’s Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. Del was born on October 22, 1934, to Mathias and Goldie Foltz. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley J. Stachowski.
At the age of 21, she joined the United States Air Force. While traveling on a bus, she met the love of her life, Stanley. After a very short courtship, they were married on March 16, 1957 and were married 44 years at the time of his passing. To this union, they were blessed with five children.

She will be remembered for her kindness, quick wit, for being an avid sports fan (especially basketball), and for being a frequent visitor to the casinos. But, above all else, she will always be remembered for the love, pride and support that she had for her family.

Dear Family ~ not by blood but by love ~
I am so grateful to have been part of the family that Dolores married into and our friendship that developed more over the past several years spending time visiting Cousin Cathy at St. Anthony’s and Bethesda. Our attending Mass at St. Anthony of Padua and our dinners at Cusanelli’s, Fergie’s and River City and a little time spent feeding the slots … for me … winning for Dolores ~ especially “Dollie” the last couple of visits.
Dolores had just recounted to me the story of how Stasiu had swept her off her feet. Could have literally happened due to Stach’s height!
I will miss you my friend and will keep the memories in my heart. Margie, Debbie, Judy, Mike and Tommy and all family know my heart is breaking for your loss. God grant you peace!
Love, have a blessed day,
Barbara relation by marriage and friend by choice,
“Do what matters to God!”

… and God will take care of the rest
Debbie, Margie, Judy, Mike and Tom,
So sorry for your loss. I have memories of being at your house when I was in grade school making cupcakes with Debbie.
Your Mom took everything in stride. She was a sweet lady.
Hoping your memories will lessen your sadness.
