Beatrice Johnson
Beatrice Johnson, “Sugamama”, was born on March 11, 1938 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Floyd Mitchell and Bessie White. She moved with her family to St. Louis, Missouri at the age of eight, where she confessed her faith in Christ.
Beatrice attended school in the St. Louis Public School district. After high school she went on to earn her degree as a Certified Medical Tech. She loved taking care of others, so she used her skills to become an home-health assitant.
Beatrice went on to her heavenly home on the afternoon of May 6, 2017, while at her home (on hospice) in Jennings, Missouri, attended by her loving family.
Beatrice was preceded in death by; her eldest son, Reginald Mitchell, one brother, Percell Mitchell, and grandson, Terrance Mitchell, Jr.. She leaves behind to cherish her memory; her beloved children, 3 sons, Erick, Terrance and Darain Mitchell and 1 daughter, Cherrine Johnson; 14 grandchildren, Keisha, Cherrine, Ousha, Jherrit, Donte’, Kiera, Tyrell, Daniel, “Lil” Darian, Darriyon, Marshon, Marquis, KaRon and Keppie; 8 great-granchildren, Alonna, MarQuan, Kyle, Kylie, Christopher, Darain III, Amiyah Jo, Tyrell, Jr., and Lyric.; a brother, Johnny Mitchell; 3 “bonus” children, Eddie, Jackie and Gwen; a very close friend, Nicole Jones; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Services: A visitation and service will be held for Beatrice on Saturday, May 13, 2017 from 11am to 1pm at the chapel of St. Louis Cremation, 2135 Chouteau Ave., St. Louis MO 63103.
