Charles Richard Warner, 88
Charles Richard “Dick” Warner, 88 of St. Louis, Mo passed away at his home on July 25th 2017.
Dick is survived by his wife of 65 years Audrey Kay Warner, daughters Shera Kavanaugh, Susan Burke, son-in-law Daniel Burke, sister Sally Shumate, and grandchildren who he loved very much, Patrick, Brendan, Margaret, and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family.
Dick grew up in Wisconsin with his parents Charles and Josephine Warner and his 5 sisters.
After high school he joined the United States Air Force where he was a Private First Class.
On April 5th, 1952 he married Kay Keith. They lived in Decatur Illinois through 1976 where Dick worked for the Warren and Van Pragg Co. in public relations. In 1976 the family moved to St. Louis where he would continue working for WVP until his retirement. Kay and Dick retired to Hot Springs Village, AK in 1990. There he enjoyed golfing, fishing, growing tomatoes, and spending time with friends and family. During his retirement he had a group of wonderful friends who would travel to see him and Kay in Arkansas to visit, play cards and golf.
Kay and Dick moved back to St. Louis 4 years ago to be closer to family.
A memorial service will be held at the Jefferson Barracks Cemetery on October 9th at 11:00am. A gathering to celebrate his life will be held immediately after the service for family and friends at Woodsmill Village Clubhouse 753 Clubhouse Dr. Ballwin Mo 63011.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
