John “Jack” Andrew Spalding
Spalding, John “Jack” Andrew, September 15, 2017 “If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever.” Jack was born in Dallas, TX, graduated from Miami U in Oxford, OH and resided in Chesterfield, MO with a career in the IT industry. Jack is survived by his parents Kathy and Dale Spalding, sister Courtney Spalding (Birmingham, AL), uncles David Spalding (Chesterfield, MO) and Tom Spalding (St. Louis), friend Marc Delaurent, Aunt Cathy Spalding (dec) Aunt Leslie and Uncle Vince Corno (Lake Forest, IL), cousin Alex Corno (Cleveland, OH) and Emily Corno (Chicago, IL), grandmother Pauline Spalding and the late Robert K. Spalding (Chesterfield, MO), late grandparents Shirley and Jim McKinney and the late Kirk McKinney. Jack, your humor, sweetness and kindness will be forever missed. I don’t know my childhood without Jack Spalding. His infectious spirit, humor, and kindness made church, school, Odyssey of the Mind/Destination Imagination, Expectations, and everything else he touched, full of fun. This is an incomprehensible and immense loss for all who had the privilege of knowing Jack. My deepest condolences on yours, and everyone’s, loss.

Oh Kathy and Dale, how my heart aches and hurts for your loss. I am so very sorry. I think of you often and our days on Lorna Lane.
My heart aches as I write this, yet the memories of Jack fill my heart with joy. Every moment spent with him was filled with laughter, fun, and genuity. I am sure every person who knew him feels the same. I will never forget his contagious laugh, his infectious smile, and his overwhelmingly loving heart. You are missed, Jack. See you soon.
I have wonderful memories of Jack when he was in kindergarten with Audra. Kathy, you and your family are in my prayers.
Jack Spalding is the the main man. We spent our childhood together. I’ve had many best friends throughout my life but schools and jobs drove us apart from on another. We played, fought and lived together. Jack and I used to sneak(or so we thought) to each other’s houses for sleepovers. We would stay up all night watching those stupid DragonBallZ videos on the Spalding’s fancy upstairs TVs and internet until Courtney would kick us out for being too annoying. I remember sneaking into the woods where that old drunk man lived off Lorna Lane and daring each other on who would go further. I remember the countless fourth of parade marches we took part in. I can’t wait to see him again. Dear Jack- start practicing your sparring moves now, I’m coming for ya!
Kathy and Dale my heart breaks for you. I think of you often and know how the years slip by – but you are always a great memory of friendship. May sweet memories help with your loss of Jack.
