Richard Dale Bueckman
January 14, 1926 – November 4, 2017
Richard Bueckman 91, of St. Charles, MO. passed away on Saturday, Nov. 4th, 2017 at Evelyn’s House (BJC Hospice Care) in Creve Coeur, Mo. He was born on January 14th, 1926 in Chester, Il. to Ervin and Elizabeth Bueckman.
He grew up in Chester, Il. and graduated in 1946 from Chester High School. He met Marilyn June Edmiston and married on Aug. 31, 1947. Marilyn preceded him in death on March 25, 2009. As well as his sister LaVerne Tindall in 2001 and his parents.
Richard served in the Navy from 1941 – 1946 on the USS Elliot as a sonar operator. In 1951, he graduated from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, IL. After graduation he started his career as a food broker, working for Kroger, Pillsbury and Little Crow Milling Company.
He was a member of the Masons, Shriners, Elks and American Legion. He is survived by two daughters: Cherie (Tom) Busch of St. Charles, Illinois and Randi (Ron) Whitaker of Lake St. Louis, Missouri. Four grand children, seven great grand children and eleven nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place at First Baptist Church of Harvester on Saturday, November 11th from 10am – 11am. Memorial Service will immediately follow at 11am in the church with Pastor Bob Ingle officiating.
