Kathryn “Katie” L. French, nee Riordan, age 69, died at home on Wednesday, November 8, 2017.

She was born October 27, 1948 to Rita Grace (Hayes) and Daniel Milton Riordan in Evansville, Indiana. She attended Reitz Memorial High School and continued her education at Indiana State University receiving a degree in special education. She moved to Saint Louis, MO where she accepted a teaching position at Clay School and she met Roger E. French Jr. shortly thereafter.They were married July 27,1974. Together they had four children Roger III (Katie), Philip, Rita, and Karen. Katie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Roger Jr, and her brothers Philip, Daniel, and Louie. Katie is survived by her children and grandchildren Eliza Grace and Noah Roger, sister Ellen Spindler of Seabring, FL and her brother Ronald of Evansville,IN.

Katie will always be remembered by her distinctive laugh and her non-stop humor. Katie’s presence would light up a room and her welcoming nature was felt by many.

Funeral services will be held at St. Margaret of Scotland Church 3854 Flad Ave St. Louis, MO 63110 on Saturday November 18, 2017. There will be a visitation from 9-10:00am, a mass at 10:00am and a luncheon to follow in the church basement. Katie will join her parents at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Evansville, IN at a later date.

Katie will be missed dearly by her friends and family but would want everyone to live life and remember the good times.
