Glenn Neal
Glenn Fount Neal, 91, of St. Louis, Missouri, passed October 13, 2018.
Glenn was born in St. Louis, Missouri, to Oatly and Della in 1927. He was the second of six children. His siblings were Wayne, Ralph, Donnie, Ernest, and Shirley.
He married Betty Lou in 1956. Together, they raised 5 children, Sharon, Evalani, Daniel, Glenn Jr, and Canda. He has many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
He joined the Navy in 1943 and fought in the South Pacific during WWII. Glenn was one of the survivors of the USS Swallow AM65 after it was attacked and destroyed on April 22, 1945. He continued in the Navy as an air traffic controller until his retirement. He later worked and retired from General Motors Assembly Division.
Glenn is preceded in death by his parents Della and Oatly; his brothers Wayne and Ralph; his wife Betty; his daughter Sharon; his grandson Wayne; and his granddaughter Dana.
Glenn enjoyed his later years in Garden Villas North retirement community in Florissant, Missouri with his beloved dog, Peewee.
Glenn will be laid to rest with his wife at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia.
